Community education efforts

Survivors Teaching Students®

Survivors Teaching Students® (STS) is a program of the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, of which Ovar’coming Together is a Partner Member.

STS introduces ovarian cancer survivors to medical education programs in universities and colleges to help educate future healthcare professionals  about ovarian cancer. Survivors share stories of diagnosis, treatment and survivorship, along with facts about the disease.  Students interact with and learn from the survivors in a classroom setting. The program goal is to increase the number of healthcare providers who will recognize ovarian cancer symptoms and refer women suspected of having ovarian cancer to gynecologic oncologists to diagnose and treat the disease in its earliest stages.

I'm a SURVIVOR. I'd like to learn about getting involved.
